For the cure of any illness
Ayesha (R.A.) stated that when anyone among them had an illness, Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) used to rub the area of the pain reciting the following dua:
أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءٌ لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمَاً

"O Lord of the people, remove this pain and cure it, You are the one who cures and there is no one besides You who can cure, grant such a cure that no illness remains".

"Ayesha (R.A.) stated that when Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) was ill, he used to recite the four Quls, blow on his hands and pass them over on the back and front. He also recited these surahs, blew on his hands and passed them over his body during his fatal illness".

Fever: God s messenger described fever as " a scorching torridity from the boilings of hell-fire" Anas , God be pleased with him, narrated the God s Messenger said " If you feel feverish , take a shower with cold water for three nights at dawn." Prophet (pbuh) himself experienced rising of his body temperature, he used to ask for a bottle of cold water and pour it over his head, or he took ritual ablution (ghusul) with it. Imam al-Tirmithi in his compilation of hadiths a tradition reported by Rafi bin Khadj that God s Messenger (pbuh) said: "Whosoever among you is struck with fever, which is a slice of hell-fire, let him extinguish with cold water. Let him seek a river stand in it facing the currents after dawn and before sunrise and pray as follows:" In the name of Allah, Lord, restore the health of Thy servant, and confirm the truth which is spoken by Thy Messenger. He must immerse himself in it thrice while repeating the same prayer for three consecutive mornings. If still needed he may do so for five mornings, or a total of seven mornings, for such fever will not last beyond seven days by God s leave."
